Welcome to the first proper collaboration project for the SUPERSWEET x moumi x Maneemejai series. "Dear Troouble," features our favourite actress Supanaree who's been a dear friend of ours and the idea of doing a project with her had been floating around for almost a year.
This collaboration is one that unites people who share the same creative vision but each one brings a little something of their own to the table, resulting in an editorial that has a story-line throughour - something dare we say, a little cinematic.
Maneemejai is also another key part of this. A talented young breed of photographers in Thailand we have had the privilege of working together on many occasions. She understands the aesthetic of the brand and knows how to balance beauty and accessibility. So when it comes to letting go of creative control, we totally trust that she could do a great job.
For this Shopping Editorial, Maneemejai took us to the seductive Chinatown of Bangkok. Shot in the rain, from dusk till night time - we are taken through a journey that is mysterious and well as nostalfic. For us, it is a foreign concept as it is yet a territory unpaved.
For this shoot, we've mostly selected pieces we haven't yet featured in any editorials or lookbooks and let them style these clothes the way they would wear in real life. Some a little rishque, but they are all wearable and you will see that the clothes do speak for themselves - no need for extra accessories. For all five outfits, Supanaree wears them with her own plain white converse and she was good to go!
Don't forget to check out the mini fashion videos we've spun off this shoot on SUPERSWEET x moumi's website: http://supersweetxmoumi.com/shopping-editorial-videos-dear-trouble/ All clips were filmed by Maneemejai and edited by us, using soundtracks from our favourite bands: Fan, Let's Eat Grandma, Exitmusic, and Correatown whose song "Dear Trouble" inspired the title of this very fashion set - thank you!
